Established in 1990 with just two employees, The Libman Actuarial Group, has grown significantly while maintaining a small-firm atmosphere that encourages a sharing of ideas and solutions for the advantage of our clients. Currently, our staff includes enrolled actuaries as well as senior consultants with more than 20 years’ experience. This depth of expertise makes it possible for us to provide powerful actuarial solutions to meet your tax and human resource needs.
MICHAEL L. LIBMAN, ASA, MSPA, MAAA, EA, FCAPrincipal
Mike co-founded the firm in 1990 after having worked as an actuary and consultant for both local and national firms. Mike has an extensive background in providing compliance and consulting services to clients of all sizes. He particularly enjoys the challenge of finding creative solutions to complex problems.
He is often sought out as an expert witness and has worked with both plaintiffs and defense in that role.
Mike is a member of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (CCA).
ANDREW P. KOLLMAN, MBA, EAPrincipal
Andy joined the firm in 2009 as an Analyst and was promoted to the position of Consultant in 2013. In 2014, he became a Principal. A proficient and dedicated professional, Andy specializes in cash balance plans for owner-managed businesses, with an emphasis on new plan design.
Andy earned his Master of Business of Administration from John Carroll University. He attained his Enrolled Actuary designation in 2016.
CARLA KADAVY, ERPA, QPASenior Actuarial Consultant
Carla has over 25 years of experience in the pension field and over 15 years with the firm, working with both small and large clients. With her experience, she is able to and enjoys working with owner-managed firms on design and ongoing administration of plans to meet their specific goals.
Carla has been an active member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) on a national and local level.
JOSEPH P. CONNARE, CEBSActuarial Consultant
Joe has been with our firm since its inception in 1990 and has worked in the actuarial profession for over 30 years. He has a wide range of experience including the administration and valuation of traditional defined benefit plans and post-employment medical plans. Joe also provides actuarial support for many of the other services we offer.
